PHOENIX EPES Cybersecurity Large-Scale Pilots – Dissemination at Enlit Europe 2021

PHOENIX project will also be present at this year’s Enlit Europe from 30 November to 2 December 2021 in Milan, Italy. It is one of Europe’s largest exhibition addressing energy-related issues. We will use this opportunity to disseminate the latest findings and project results in front of a large audience of relevant stakeholders and raise awareness for cybersecurity and the challenges ahead.

Sharing CTI information has been recognized worldwide as a significant step in fighting against cybersecurity breaches. What if, instead of sharing plain cybersecurity incident data, EPES could receive coordinated or cascading context of cyber-attacks at pan-European level? PHOENIX EPES Cybersecurity solutions could help ITER integration to European Smart Grid

ITER project aims at commercial level power production (Q factor > 10) from hydrogen nuclear fusion to helium using magnetic confinement of plasma in a tokamak type nuclear reactor.

This articles provides an overview of the project, as well as a short report on the recent Annual Remote ITER Business Meeting held on 7 & 8 April 2021.

Once ITER is operational and integrated to the European Smart Grid, PHOENIX project Cybersecurity Tools and Functionality will be instrumental ensuring ITER is well protected.

Malware: If they are down, you can be down too


[9 of May 2021] In the news today; Alpharetta, Georgia-based Colonial Pipeline has been (successfully) targeted and taken down by a Ransomware attack, threating the transportation of 2.5 million barrels a day (up to 45% of the USA East Coast’s supply of diesel, gasoline and jet fuel). As a direct consequence, critical assets like fuel pipelines has been shut down and pump prices can be increased in the USA.
